Dr. Istvan Jonyer is the rare software expert who has built, researched, and invested in the technologies at issue. As an engineer at Nortel, he designed 3G wireless systems. Designed key features of Sprint’s first-generation 3G mobile Internet packet data switching node (PDSN) at Nortel Networks, implementing the Open Radio Protocol in C/VxWorks and achieving a 20% increase in transmission speed. At Fantasy Brain, invented and implemented the Fantasy IQ big-data algorithms, architected the codebase (Ruby on Rails, Postgres, Solr, AWS), and led a team of seven engineers to deliver the product in four months. At KDResearch, designed and implemented the back-end architecture for a stock option search engine. At Life Adapt, built ML models for activity recognition, cognitive health scoring, and behavior characterization from smartwatch sensor data.
