Founded in 2019 by Dr. Istvan Jonyer, a PhD computer scientist with experience building systems at Nortel, launching products at Google, and evaluating technology at venture capital firms, Sidespin Group assembled a curated network of testifying and consulting experts. Each one combines rigorous academic credentials with senior industry experience and demonstrated courtroom communication skills.

What’s in a name?

In table tennis, the sidespin loop is a shot that curves the ball in unexpected ways, so effective that when our founder’s father, 4-time world champion Istvan Jonyer Sr., used it, the rules of the game were changed: the net posts were required to extend six inches outward to limit around-the-net shots.

We named our firm Sidespin Group to honor that legacy. In software litigation, conventional analysis often misses what matters. We find the angles others overlook, and we deliver technical opinions with the precision and clarity that changes the trajectory of a case.
